Christjen Madaffari, PCMI, RBT

Christjen Madaffari is a dedicated educator with over 10 years of experience in special education and music education, working in both private and classroom settings. Certified as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), he provides therapeutic intervention to children on the autism spectrum in Pinellas County and at BYC Learn. As a music instructor at BYC Learn, Christjen tailors his teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student, fostering both their musical and academic growth.

Christjen has extensive experience teaching at Bach to Rock Music School, where he led programs such as Glee Club, Rock City, Kids n' Keys, Rock Band, and private lessons for 10 different instruments. He introduced basic musical concepts, developed students' vocal skills, and guided them in playing together as a band, emphasizing collaboration and stage presence. His private lessons covered various instruments, allowing him to cater to the specific interests and needs of each student, from beginners to advanced musicians.

Additionally, Christjen is a Professional Crisis Management (PCM) Instructor, certified with the Professional Crisis Management Association (PCMA), providing training to schools in Pinellas County and to BYC Learn staff.

In his spare time, he serves as a performance arts instructor for middle schoolers and enjoys spending time with his daughter playing board games, going geocaching, and kickboxing together. Christjen's diverse experience and passion for education make him a valuable asset to the educational community and to BYC!
