Letter of the week: A

Welcome to the first week of ABA Clinic! We will be practicing using the words "me" and "want" to ask for an item. If your child is working on speaking verbally or using basic signing, they will be working on the word "me." If your child uses an AAC device, they will touch the "want" button to ask for an item.

Ideas for home practice:

1. Walk on the beach and point/name different ocean-themed words (e.g., "wave," "fish," "shell").
2. Give your child one piece of snack at a time. When they reach for more, have them sign/say "me" or activate "want" on their AAC device.
3. Scatter puzzle pieces on the floor. Once your child picks up a piece, say "give me" while using a grabbing gesture.
4. Watch The Letter A Song on ABCmouse.com. Pause the video and point out various pictures that start with the letter "A."
